Gerben’s graduation
On 28th of June, Gerben graduated from the Willem Lodewijk Gymnasium. After six years of hard studying, he finished his school ‘Cum Laude’. In the laudatio Mrs. Betty Pluim, his mentor, memorised his motto ‘Als je iets doet, kun je het maar beter goed doen.’ Also, she quoted from his thesis on English literature the binding theme of the books he had chosen: “Never base your thinking purely on someone or something else. Be free to think and gather information. Be critical, be curious and be aware of the world.”
